Ciúnas Dé ligt even buiten Camolin in het zuidoosten van Ierland. Het klimaat is hier het zachtst van het hele land. De Engelse invloed is in deze streek nog duidelijk waarneembaar in mooie landhuizen zoals Russborough en Castletown. De Wicklow Mountains vormen een prachtig wandelgebied. De Wicklow Way is 132 km lang en voert u langs lieflijke valleien zoals de Vale of Avoca en Sally Gap. Glendalough herbergt een sfeervolle kloosterruine en de tuinen van Powerscourt zijn misschien wel de mooiste in Ierland. Met de auto kunt u de Military Road volgen, die u dwars door de Wicklow Mountains leidt. De Mount Usher Gardens zijn romantische tuinen met zeldzame struiken en bomen. Browne`s Hill Dolmen is een megalithisch grafmonument uit 2000 v. Chr.
Kilkenny is een mooie oude stad. Jerpoint Abbey is een prachtige cistercian ruine, evenals Tintern Abbey. Vanuit New Ross kunt u de rivieren de Barrow en de Nore per boot verkennen. Inistioge is een lief dorpje aan de Nore. Twaalf kilometer ten zuiden van New Ross, vlakbij de geboorteplaats van de Kennedy`s, ligt het JFK Arboretum met 4500 verschillende soorten bomen. Enniscorthy is historisch belangrijk; op Vinegar Hill kwam een bloedig einde aan de opstand tegen de Engelsen in 1798.

Ciúnas Dé is situated five kilometres outside Camolin in the South East of Ireland, where the climate is the mildest. The British influence is still very noticeable in this region, which can be seen in magnificent stately homes like Russborough and Castletown. About one hour`s drive from Ciúnas Dé, you will find one of the most impressive areas of Ireland, the Wicklow Mountains, which are ideal for walking. The Wicklow Way is 132 kilometres long, and leads you through charming valleys like the Vale of Avoca and Sally Gap. Glendalough is an early Christian monastic site and the gardens of Powerscourt are among the most beautiful in Ireland. You can drive the Military Road, which will take you right through the Wicklow Mountains. The Mount Usher Gardens are romantic with rare shrubs and trees. Browne`s Hill Dolmen is a megalithic tomb dating back to 2000 BC.
Kilkenny is a beautiful old town; Jerpoint Abbey is an ancient Cistercian ruin and so is Tintern Abbey. From New Ross you can navigate the Barrow and the Nore. Inistioge is an attractive little village by the river Nore. South of New Ross, near the Kennedy homestead, is the JFK Arboretum with 4500 different trees. Enniscorthy is important in historic view, as it was here on Vinegar Hill that the rising against the English found a bloody end in 1798.
